Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - 26 January 2023: Ahead of this weekend’s CORE Diriyah E-Prix double-header, Nio 333 racing driver, Dan Ticktum, attended a special screening event organised by Formula E, with the support of Saudi Ministry of Sport, to preview the second season of Formula E: Unplugged, which will be coming to screens in MENA soon.
Hosted at the VOX Kingdom Cinema, 30 guests were invited for drinks and canapés ahead of a special 30 minute 'best of' episode, showcasing all the best moments of the series. Formula E commentator, Jack Nicholls hosted a Q&A session with the NiO 333 driver, which was then followed by exclusive interviews.
The six-part behind-the-scenes docuseries on the all-electric ABB FIA Formula E World Championship follows drivers and teams in the most competitive season yet. It was the championship’s biggest season so far with 16 races in the heart of 10 iconic global cities including New York, Jakarta, London, Mexico City and Rome, and which saw a new world champion crowned on the final race weekend of the season in Seoul.
Episode four features outspoken British driver, Dan Ticktum, as one of three rookies making their debut in the championship in Season 8, hoping to put his chequered history behind him.
Details of where the series will be broadcasted in the region will be announced shortly while the series will be available on Formula E’s digital platforms from March.
Hosting the 2023 CORE Diriyah E-Prix is part of the Kingdom's and Ministry of Sport's long-term strategy to position Saudi Arabia as a global sporting destination which aims to attract visitors from around the world and inspire Saudis to pursue motorsport as a career.
