Saudi Arabia, December 27, 2018: Al-Jazeera Paints participated in a workshop titled 'The Forum of Engineering Offices and the Effectiveness of Fire-resistant Paints in Buildings'. It was held recently in the building of innovation and entrepreneurship at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran. It was inaugurated by the Director of Civil Defense in the Eastern Region, Major General Rashed bin Saleh Al Marri, in the presence of a number of safety specialists, civil defense personnel, a number of government and civil authorities, offices and engineering companies in cooperation with the Saudi Engineers Organization and the Saudi Society for Safety and Fire.
The company has participated in a working paper on its latest four-hour fire proofing and protection technologies, such as Al-Jazeera Fire Damp 263, Al-Jazeera Fire Damp w3. In addition to its product AL-Jazeera Fire Wood 150 for the protection of wood surfaces from fire for up to an hour and provided an explanation of the importance of the role of paints in protecting lives and installations from the dangers of fire, and the need to raise awareness in the correct application methods to ensure the highest standards Safety and Security of installations. It presented a number of major projects in the Kingdom, where Al-Jazeera's fire-resistant paint products were used, such as the Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh, the Riyadh Metro project, as well as a number of commercial centers such as Jubail Mall, Nakheel Mall and other projects across the Kingdom. The workshop was organized by General Al Marri to stimulate and encourage engineering offices and companies to obtain accreditation from the civil defense to practice safety work and to educate the employees in applying the necessary safety standards in the establishments, through the companies and engineering offices specialized and licensed to practice these works, as well as the importance of knowing everything that is new in the fire-proofing paints. The meeting was attended by the director of civil defense in the eastern region of Al Jazeera Paints Company for their participation in the forum, where the Director General of Projects Engineer Abdul Hai Al Anzi and Business Development Engineer Waleed Khattab received two memorabilia on this occasion.
