Riyadh, August 28, 2026, SPA -- The Sports Investment Forum (SIF), in cooperation with the Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held the Saudi-German Sports Economic Roundtable in Berlin. The event brought together a select group of investors and representatives from specialized companies and organizations, as part of efforts to strengthen investment cooperation and build new bridges between the business communities and the sports sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Germany.
The meeting was attended by Honorary President of Ghorfa Dr. Peter Ramsauer, CEO of SIF and Chairman of the National Committee for Sports Investment at the Federation of Saudi Chambers Ibrahim Al-Bakri and a number of investors and representatives from German companies and institutions.
The roundtable discussed the rapid transformations in the Kingdom's sports sector under Saudi Vision 2030 and the resulting expansion of investment and commercial opportunities across sports. It also explored ways to enhance the participation of German companies and investors in the Saudi sports market.
During the meeting, Al-Bakri reviewed the SIF experience and its role in bringing together investors, opportunity providers, decision-makers, and sports entities on a single platform. He also highlighted key outcomes from previous editions, reports, and investment opportunities offered by the Saudi market, as well as the agreements, partnerships, projects, and investment initiatives achieved.
He pointed out that cooperation with Germany represents a significant opportunity to connect the Kingdom's growing potential and investment opportunities with Germany's expertise, companies, technologies, and capital. He emphasized that the goal is to build a sustainable path for cooperation that allows investors from both countries to access opportunities and develop joint partnerships and projects.
The meeting also addressed the SIF's upcoming edition and the opportunities for German companies, investors, and entities to participate, whether through direct investment, presenting opportunities and projects, or taking part in the exhibition, sessions, workshops, and accompanying programs. The discussions focused on the importance of building bridges between Saudi investment opportunities and the German business community, and on developing practical mechanisms that allow German companies and investors to directly learn about the opportunities available in the Kingdom, while simultaneously enabling Saudi investors and businesspeople to access opportunities, expertise, technologies, and partnerships in the German market.
