Madinah, September 15, 2026, SPA -- The Madinah Region Development Authority participated in the Kuching Food Festival in Sarawak, Malaysia, showcasing aspects of Madinah’s culinary and cultural heritage and its diversity, which reflects the city’s rich history and distinctive local identity.
The participation follows Madinah’s inclusion in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and comes as part of the authority’s efforts to strengthen Madinah’s international presence in culinary arts, highlight its rich food and its historical and cultural heritage, and introduce the ingredients and elements that shape its culinary identity.
The participation contributes to building bridges of communication and knowledge exchange with cities around the world interested in culinary arts and cultural heritage, while benefiting from experiences and practices to develop the field, further enhancing Madinah’s presence at relevant international forums.
