Grand Mosque's Cutting-Edge Sound System Boosts Spiritual Experience for Worshippers

Makkah, March 17, 2026, SPA -- The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has implemented a state-of-the-art sound system throughout the Grand Mosque in Makkah, ensuring that the call to prayer (Adhan), daily prayers, and Friday sermons are delivered with exceptional clarity to worshippers in the mosque, its courtyards, and surrounding areas.

The authority has installed more than 260 speakers in corridors around the Grand Mosque to guarantee simultaneous, balanced sound transmission in all directions. The system relies on over eight kilometers of cables and fiber optics, forming an advanced technological infrastructure capable of transmitting sound with high accuracy and no delay.

This initiative is part of the authority’s ongoing development plans to employ the latest technologies in serving pilgrims. By continuously improving technical and service infrastructure, the authority aims to provide a distinguished and seamless spiritual experience for visitors from around the world.
