Due to their growing strength of popularity and the number of subscribers, much is being talked about the possibility of these platforms pulling the rug from TV screens.

The video reviews the advantages of TV that are dangerously missing in modern streaming platforms. The UN General Assembly declared November 21 in 1996 as World Television Day after it held the first World Television Forum on November 21-22, inviting leading media figures to discuss the growing significance of television in the rapidly changing world and how they can enhance their mutual cooperation.
The world has since been observing this occasion every year, thus acknowledging television as a vital tool to inform, channel, and influence public opinion, having an indomitable presence and influence on global affairs.
The day is observed not to celebrate the TV medium per se but to mark it as a symbol of communication and globalization in the contemporary world that it represents.
