Jeddah, December 04, 2025, SPA -- The Cultural Development Fund has announced its sponsorship of the Red Sea Souk during the fifth edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival, held at Culture Square in Historic Jeddah from December 4 to 13. Participating under the theme “Investing in the Future of Filmmaking,” the fund aims to attract local and international investment into Saudi Arabia’s film sector and stimulate the launch and expansion of cinematic projects across the whole film industry value chain. The fund’s participation includes a main pavilion in the Red Sea Souk area from December 6 to 10. The souk serves as the festival’s central hub, bringing together local and international film industry companies and providing a global platform to promote commercial opportunities and showcase cinematic projects. Through its pavilion, the fund seeks to engage stakeholders and highlight the financing solutions it offers under the “Cultural Financing” umbrella. Also featured at the pavilion is the Riviera Content Fund, the first investment fund of its kind in the Kingdom, in which the Cultural Fund serves as a main investor. As part of the festival’s broader activities, the Cultural Fund will participate in several panel discussions to address the fast-growing momentum of the Kingdom’s film sector, its economic potential, and the promising investment opportunities available to entrepreneurs and investors. This participation builds on the four-year strategic partnership between the Cultural Development Fund and the Red Sea International Film Festival, reflecting the fund’s role as a center of excellence and financial empowerment within the Kingdom’s cultural sector. This partnership supports efforts to promote cultural entrepreneurship, empower cultural enterprises, and attract investment, enhancing the sector’s economic and social impact and boosting its contribution to GDP and quality of life, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
