7th June 2023 Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: A prestigious education group from the United Kingdom has opened a new international school in Riyadh, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) announced today.

Beech Hall School Riyadh is the latest school to be established under RCRC’s International Schools Attraction Program, which is bringing world-class schools to the Saudi capital in partnership with the Ministry of Investment and Ministry of Education. The schools are from several countries and represent globally recognised curricula and teaching and learning systems.
Hala Halawani, Acting General Manager of Education Sector Development at RCRC, said: “The new international schools being opened in the capital city are strengthening the education ecosystem by bringing in global teaching expertise and are creating first-class educational opportunities for all Riyadh residents. Youngsters in Riyadh will immensely benefit from Beech Hall School's bespoke learning philosophy and its state-of-the-art campus.'

Beech Hall School Riyadh is the first school in the partnership between the UK’s Chatsworth Schools, and Fawaz Alhokair, founder of Fawaz Alhokair Group, a leading Saudi Arabian holding company. Combining one of the UK’s leading educators with Alhokair’s local expertise, the partnership aims to open premium international schools in the Kingdom that capitalise on the best of international academia.

Anita Gleave, founder and CEO of Chatsworth Schools, operator of Beech Hall School said: “Our vision for this partnership is for Beech Hall School Riyadh to be a truly international school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Through a reimagined approach to education, we provide all children with a lifelong learning mindset, so they can adapt to the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century and beyond.”

Fawaz Alhokair, founder of Fawaz Alhokair Group, said: “Saudi Arabia is at the forefront of growth and innovation in education in line with the goals of Vision 2030. Our new school supports Saudi Arabia’s aspiration for developing a fully inclusive, high-quality education sector focusing on the development of our children’s resilient and independent characters. This is a non-profit project, part of our charitable efforts to enrich education for students, especially students with determination.”

Beech Hall School Riyadh is a new branch of the renowned Beech Hall School in Cheshire, United Kingdom, and joins 14 schools and nurseries in the Chatsworth family. Beech Hall was founded in 1926, boasts nearly a century of tradition and heritage and has a reputation for being one of the most innovative and exceptional educational institutions in the UK.

Beech Hall is not a traditional British school and is best known for its unique, truly international approach to the curriculum. At Beech Hall Riyadh, students follow the International Early Years, Primary and Middle Years curricula which draw on the expertise of the UK curriculum whilst maintaining an international perspective. This is combined with thorough Arabic and Islamic Studies programmes to ensure that students are immersed in the heritage and culture of Saudi Arabia. This inclusive approach allows parents and students to choose the best learning options, aligned to every child’s needs to ensure that they achieve their own version of academic excellence and their own outstanding future.

Beech Hall School Riyadh is currently welcoming applications from boys and girls from KG1 to Grade 8. The Grade ranges will expand in the coming years. With a non-selective admissions process that allows opportunities for all children to thrive and have the best chance of success, Beech Hall School Riyadh does not require prospective students to sit entrance exams.
