French President: New York Declaration Key to Ending Gaza War

New York, September 25, 2025, SPA -- French President Emmanuel Macron affirmed that the adoption of the New York Declaration, issued by the High-level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, represents the foundation for ending the war in Gaza, securing the release of hostages, and advancing a just and lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue.

In his address yesterday during the General Debate of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Macron stated that the world faces grave challenges, including violations, conflicts, climate change, and economic and trade competition. He called for a revival of the spirit of cooperation that marked the founding of the UN 80 years ago.

The French president reaffirmed his support for the expansion and reform of the UN Security Council, emphasizing the need for greater African representation within the institution.
