Jeddah, October 14, 2025, SPA -- The first edition of the GEOMIN 2025 Symposium, hosted by the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) and organized by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), continued its sessions on Monday in Jeddah under the theme “Redefining Mineral Exploration, Potential and Impact.” The symposium featured specialized sessions addressing developments in geosciences and mineral resource exploration, with the participation of leading local and international geologists, geophysicists, researchers, and experts. The scientific sessions discussed modern geodynamic frameworks and showcased the latest technologies in mineral exploration. They also presented new insights into the Arabian Shield’s exploration potential and discussed how modern data enhances understanding of its geological evolution. The discussions highlighted the role of these advancements in supporting the future of exploration and mining in the Kingdom, as well as in expanding cooperation among research institutions, government agencies, and the private sector locally and internationally.
