Ljubljana, February 06, 2026, SPA -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullatif Alzayani, and Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan Al Muraikhi held extensive talks with SlovenianDeputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon in Ljubljana, the capital of the Republic of Slovenia.

During the talks, the ministers discussed measures to enhance regional and international security and stability, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip and the need to adhere to the ceasefire agreement and fully implement its provisions. They also discussed the need to deliver sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to the strip, efforts to ensure the success of the peace plan launched by US President Donald Trump, and progress towards a clear political horizon that embodies an independent and sovereign Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution.

The ministers also discussed the situation in the occupied West Bank, emphasizing the need to halt illegal unilateral Israeli measures there and Israeli violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem, which are exacerbating tensions and undermining all efforts to de-escalate the situation.

The ministers commended Slovenia's support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and its recognition of the State of Palestine based on the two-state solution.

The talks also addressed developments in the region, ways to reduce tensions through negotiation and dialogue, and efforts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
