King Faisal University Wins 2026 Blackboard Catalyst Award for Ethical AI Leadership

Al-Ahsa, June 18, 2026, SPA -- King Faisal University (KFU) has won the 2026 Blackboard Catalyst Award in the Ethical AI Leadership category, recognizing its institution-wide approach to using artificial intelligence in line with the principles of governance, transparency, and ethical responsibility. The award was part of an international competition involving educational institutions from 17 countries.

KFU President Prof. Adel Abuzenadah commended the efforts of the team at the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology and all entities that contributed to the achievement. He said the award reflects the university’s commitment to initiatives that enhance education quality and the digital learning experience, as Saudi Arabia marks the Year of Artificial Intelligence and advances efforts to build a knowledge-based economy and achieve Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
