 Jeddah, July 27, 2026, SPA -- His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Andy Burnham of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, congratulating him on his appointment and wishing him success. HRH the Crown Prince also commended the distinguished relations between the two countries and peoples. The British prime minister expressed his appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince for his kind sentiments. During the call, the prime minister also condemned and denounced the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia and its threats to freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, reaffirming the United Kingdom's support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's security and sovereignty. The two sides also reviewed existing areas of cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop further and strengthen them, as well as discussing a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
