Abha, August 07, 2025, SPA -- Aseer Food Festival (Wasl) has launched its activities in Al-Muftaha District in Abha, as part of the Aseer Season 2025, held under the theme “Cooler & Closer”. The festival aims to celebrate the region’s cultural heritage and spotlight its traditional cuisine and culinary arts. The festival, organized by the Aseer Development Authority in collaboration with the Saudi Tourism Authority, will run until September 5. The festival aims to boost tourism in Aseer Region and support seasonal events by showcasing local culinary traditions and cultural elements. It offers visitors an immersive experience that reflects Saudi identity and promotes domestic tourism and the participation of local partners. Wasl festival features a dedicated market for families working in the cottage industry along with locally grown produce and handcrafted goods inspired by the region’s heritage. The program also includes live cooking workshops, folkloric performances, and designated play zones for children. The festival stands as a model of integration among government entities in tourism promotion, supporting Saudi Arabia’s position on the global tourism map through diverse events that enhance local content and highlight the Kingdom’s cultural and entertainment resources.
