Riyadh, July 23, 2026, SPA -- The Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) has received accreditation from the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) for its Surveyor Learning Program for the third consecutive time. The accreditation follows an independent evaluation conducted in accordance with the fourth edition of the international standards for surveyor training programs.

The program achieved a perfect score of 100% across all assessment requirements, becoming the first program to be accredited under the fourth edition of the standards. The achievement reflects the efficiency of CBAHI’s surveyor training system and the quality of its qualification programs, both of which are aligned with international best practices.

The assessment team’s report praised the program’s performance, particularly in governance and management. The report also praised CBAHI’s institutional practices, highlighting the quality of its planning, implementation, and continuous improvement processes.

CBAHI’s Director General Salem AlWahabi said the accreditation reflects the body’s commitment to applying international standards to build surveyors' capabilities and prepare them as a key component in ensuring the quality of accreditation processes and advancing healthcare standards.

He said the achievement also reflects the development of Saudi Arabia’s quality and accreditation system and CBAHI’s ability to design and deliver training programs in accordance with advanced international models, reinforcing a culture of institutional excellence and continuous improvement across the healthcare sector.

AlWahabi added that the accreditation is aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program to improve the quality of healthcare services, while contributing to the qualification of surveyors in line with international standards and enhancing healthcare quality and patient safety.
