Buraidah, August 21, 2025, SPA -- The “Dates Channel” television platform was launched in conjunction with the Buraidah Dates Carnival, which began yesterday at King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah and runs until September 9. The channel aims to enhance the media presence and distinguish coverage of the carnival. A dedicated section was set up for the channel, which will broadcast digital programs across social-media platforms and select official television networks. As the first television platform specialized in palm and date products, the channel operates from inside the carnival through a studio equipped with advanced technologies. It will produce multilingual bulletins highlighting the vibrancy of the date trade in Qassim, the diversity and quality of Saudi dates, and their global market presence. The initiative seeks to strengthen the Kingdom’s international standing in the date sector with professional digital content that reflects its agricultural heritage and national identity. The carnival, which began August 1 at the Palm Center south of Buraidah, runs for 75 days. During the first 15 days alone, sales exceeded SAR 107 million.
