Riyadh International Book Fair Addresses Cultural Content Creation

Riyadh, October 11, 2025, SPA -- Riyadh International Book Fair 2025, supervised by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, organized a workshop titled 'Cultural Journalism and Critical Reporting,' presented by Mirza Al-Khuwaildi. The workshop was attended by a group of visitors and those interested in cultural affairs.

The workshop explored the concept of cultural writing and the foundations of an educated journalistic structure, capable of producing high-quality written, visual, or audio content that conveys an idea or information, or offers entertainment or targeted marketing to a specific audience.

Al-Khuwaildi explained that cultural media is based on two main elements -- media and culture -- and emphasized that its importance lies in connection, context, and cultural communication, and that content creation tools vary between articles, videos, podcasts, publications, images, and infographics. He pointed out that successful cultural media is based on three fundamental pillars -- the idea, the platform, and the audience. He reviewed the pros and cons of content creation and its various types, from educational and cultural to artistic, analytical, tourism, and entertainment.

The Riyadh International Book Fair 2025 concludes today, Saturday, after ten days of events, seminars, evenings, and artistic performances, which confirmed its position as the largest annual cultural event celebrating books and cultural life in the Kingdom.
