Riyadh, November 4, 2025, SPA -- Deputy Chair of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Dr. Ryadh Alkhareif participated yesterday in the fourth Future of the Non-Profit Sector Forum in Riyadh, held under the theme “The Role of the Non-Profit Sector in Public Diplomacy.” The forum explored the Saudi non-profit sector’s contributions to the work of the Group of Twenty (G20) engagement groups and its growing role in advancing the Kingdom’s public diplomacy efforts. Participants discussed opportunities to strengthen the sector’s presence in global forums and enhance its role in supporting national and international engagement. Speaking in a session titled “Beyond 2030: The Global Agenda for Sustainable Development,” Dr. Alkhareif emphasized the central role of non-profit institutions in accelerating sustainable development. He highlighted the sector’s strong performance during Saudi Arabia’s G20 presidency in 2020. Dr. Alkhareif stressed the importance of the non-profit sector’s continued participation in international forums — including the G20 — to advance people-centered policies and development-focused dialogue. He praised Saudi non-profit organizations for effectively representing the Kingdom’s values and contributing to global discussions on development, sustainability, and humanitarian initiatives. “The non-profit sector has become a core pillar of national development and a key partner in shaping global solutions,” he said. “It's growing international presence reflects the Kingdom’s leadership, responsibility, and commitment to serving humanity.” The forum featured sessions with policymakers, business leaders, and charitable-sector innovators, as well as workshops designed to strengthen the international engagement capabilities of Saudi non-profit organizations.
