 Riyadh, February 20, 2026, SPA -- Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Princess Fahda bint Falah Al Hathleen, spouse of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, honored the winners of the 27th edition of the local competition for the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran, organized and supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, yesterday at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Riyadh. The current edition witnessed wide participation from all regions of the Kingdom, with more than 3,600 male and female contestants participating in the preliminary rounds, of whom 129 qualified for the final stage under a rigorous judging system overseen by specialized committees. The total value of prizes reached SAR7 million, in support of and encouragement for memorizers of the Holy Quran to continue along this noble path. The ceremony was attended by a number of princesses and senior officials, along with women interested in Quranic studies and the mothers of the competition’s participants.
