Phoenix, May 11, 2026, SPA -- On the second day of their training camp in the American city of Phoenix, members of the Saudi Science and Engineering Team began installing their research projects on the designated display platforms at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2026), as part of a phase preceding the official approval of projects for entry into the competitions.

The participating projects underwent a review by the scientific ethics committee to verify their originality and confirm that the materials and models used conformed to international standards, and to approve the scientific posters, culminating in official accreditation from the scientific committee.

The Saudi team participating in ISEF 2026 comprises 40 male and female students, as well as two young gifted students, representing the Kingdom across multiple scientific fields at the 76th edition of the fair, which sees the participation of more than 1,700 male and female students from approximately 70 countries

The training program for the Saudi students continues along two simultaneous tracks: 19 male and female students are participating in the Riyadh camp through specialized training workshops delivered by experts in their respective fields, while the remaining members of the team continue their intensive preparations at the Phoenix camp in the lead-up to the ISEF 2026 competitions.

The training workshops are scheduled to conclude over the coming days in preparation for Judging Day on Wednesday, with approximately 1,200 male and female judges participating to evaluate projects across 22 scientific categories in the ISEF 2026 competitions.
