Riyadh, October 21, 2025, SPA -- The Transport General Authority (TGA) reported Monday that the number of passenger transport trips made through ride-hailing applications in the Kingdom recorded a significant increase during the third quarter of 2025, reaching 39.04 million trips, which represent an increase of 78% compared to the same quarter of 2024. Riyadh Region recorded the highest share of passenger transport trips through ride-hailing applications, accounting for 43.9% of the total. It was followed by Makkah Region with 22.13%, Eastern Region with 14.5%, Madinah Region with 5.76%, Aseer Region with 3.55%, Qassim Region with 3%, Tabuk Region with 2.49%, and Hail Region with 1.85%. According to the TGA figures, Jazan Region accounted for 1.13% of total trips, followed by Najran Region at 0.58%, Al-Jouf Region at 0.55%, Northern Borders Region at 0.28%, and Al-Baha Region at 0.23%.
