AlUla, August 18, 2025, SPA -- The third edition of the AlUla Desert Blaze race concluded on Saturday night, drawing the participation of more than 500 male and female runners from both within the Kingdom and abroad. Competitors took on four challenging race categories of 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km (half marathon), and 42.2 km (full marathon), in one of the region’s most prominent and challenging desert races. The race kicked off at 8:00 AM from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hegra, taking runners through various natural and historical landmarks, including the Maraya architectural wonder, canyons, and lush oases. The event unfolded under intense heat, with temperatures exceeding 40°C, adding an extra layer of challenge and excitement to the competition. The race saw fierce competition among participants, with professional organizations and strong spectator turnout contributing to a dynamic and enthusiastic atmosphere. This year's edition is regarded as a resounding success on all fronts, from the scale of participation and the quality of event organization to the high level of audience engagement.
