Drive witnessed a successful participation of employees from the local office, who donated blood to support the people of Saudi Arabia amidst COVID-19.

Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - December 02, 2020:   As part of its CSR efforts in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, Mitsubishi Power Saudi Arabia Co., a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Power, Ltd. hosted a blood donation campaign. Taking place in Dammam, the campaign was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. The campaign witnessed over 40 employees from the local office and factory sign up to donate blood which will be used to save lives. All necessary precautions to ensure public safety during the donation drive were in place.

Commenting on this campaign, Hiroaki Fujiwara, CEO of Mitsubishi Power Saudi Arabia, said:“Blood donations today are more essential than ever as the world continues to put up a brave battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. This campaign is a response to our company’s commitment to support our local community. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our team in Saudi Arabia who demonstrated passion towards the cause and the campaign. I would also like to praise the Ministry of Health who offered highly trained and professional medical staff to  drive this campaign.

A similar campaign took place earlier last month in Mitsubishi Power’s factory in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. These campaigns are in line with Mitsubishi Power’s continuous dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
