Riyadh, February 06, 2026, SPA -- The Saudi team made a notable appearance at the fashion show featuring national Olympic committees participating in the Winter Olympic Games, which was held as part of Milan Fashion Week, with the participation of 17 national Olympic committees from around the world. The Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) was the only Arab entity to take part in this global event. Saudi national team athlete Rakan Ali Reda participated in the show, wearing a design created by Saudi fashion designer Alia Al-Salmi, which embodied elements of Saudi heritage through a contemporary aesthetic that blends authenticity with modernity. The visual presentation reflected national identity within an international context. Al-Salmi is regarded as one of the leading Saudi designers in fashion associated with major international events. She has previously designed outfits for the opening ceremony of the Asian Winter Games in Harbin, further reflecting the growing Saudi presence in global sporting and cultural forums. This appearance underscores the integration of sport with culture and creativity, and reinforces the Kingdom’s positive image on the global Olympic stage, embodying the development of Saudi Arabia’s creative scene and the diversity of its international engagement tools.
