Saudi Falcons Club, Weqaa Partner to Strengthen Falcon Disease Prevention

Riyadh, October 07, 2025, SPA -- The Saudi Falcons Club signed a cooperation agreement yesterday with the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa) aimed at enhancing efforts to prevent diseases affecting falcons and coordinating veterinary and health-related initiatives for falcons and related events.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2025, held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Malham. It outlines collaboration across several key areas, including the exchange of studies, research, expertise, and information on falcon diseases and control methods.

Additionally, the agreement covers coordination on the use of veterinary medications, the development of joint preventive programs, and the standardization of health procedures concerning falcons.

This partnership is part of the Saudi Falcons Club’s commitment to ensuring a healthy environment for falcons, safeguarding their wellbeing in collaboration with national authorities, and supporting sustainable veterinary and environmental practices that help preserve the cultural heritage of falconry.
