For the coming spring, this Epicurean desires new horizons - sunlit with a warm, gentle breeze. She starts her journey on the Amalfi Coast and then unwinds on the Riviera or - who knows? - the hills of Los Angeles. A bell skirt embroidered with sequins for an evening red carpet appearance, a 'perfecto' cut playsuit in poplin for a stroll around town during the day.
This collection truly resembles the designer: light and fresh, undoubtedly sophisticated, but with a hint of nonchalance, rendering it irresistible.
What we ultimately find in these designs is the glamorous yet understated elegance of a Marisa Berenson or a Grace Kelly, so dear to the designer's heart.
Ingie Chalhoub excels in the art of creating deliciously feminine silhouettes. Frills, small and large tiers, frilly collars, sacred pleats, layered flowing dresses with pagoda sleeves: each and every item is composed of cleverly worked details resulting in a blend of romanticism and poetry. The silhouette glides and swirls. It dances, light as a breeze. This season, the INGIE Paris collection is more assured, more revealing. It invites you to discover backless creations, a lower-cut bustier and bare shoulders. The transparent organza and the open weave fabric reveal a hint of freshly bronzed skin. Powder pink, iridescent white, silver threads and pastel shades are enhanced with touches of shiny charcoal, coral pink and midnight blue. With a slim-line look, INGIE Paris serenely and confidently hums a Dolce Vita tune for this coming spring, in the manner of a leitmotiv for the seasons to come.
