Arar, September 15, 2025, SPA -- The last quarter moon of Rabi' Al-Awwal 1447 AH was visible over Arar in Northern Borders Region yesterday evening. The moon's eastern side was illuminated, forming a bright half-circle visible to the naked eye. This phase occurs when the moon is at a 90-degree angle with the sun relative to Earth, lighting its eastern half while leaving the western half in darkness. Astronomy experts highlighted that this phenomenon, which recurs monthly, provides an excellent opportunity for enthusiasts to observe lunar details, especially in regions with clear skies.
