Riyadh, September 16, 2025, SPA -- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued a directive to name the airport road in Madinah after His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The newly named Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road connects the Prophet’s Mosque to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, which leads to Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport and the Royal Terminal, passing through Rua Al Madinah, the largest hospitality project in the world. On this occasion, Governor of Madinah Region and Al Madinah Region Development Authority Board Chairman Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and to HRH the Crown Prince. He praised HRH the Crown Prince’s pioneering role in launching national development initiatives and strategic projects that have had a tangible impact across all regions of the Kingdom, including Madinah. The Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road is a strategic artery in Madinah. Spanning 13 kilometers, it intersects with key main roads, including King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Road (First Ring Road), King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Road (Second Ring Road), and King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Road (Third Ring Road). Several major development projects are underway along the newly named route, implemented by the Madinah Municipality and Al Madinah Region Development Authority. Among the most notable is the 'Madinah Humanization Program,' which focuses on improving vehicle and pedestrian pathways, enhancing building facades, and aligning with the design guidelines for Saudi architecture to support quality of life and urban landscape enhancement. The road also includes the environmental rehabilitation project for Wadi Qanat, one of the region’s most significant historic valleys.
